After a Canada-wide competition, the team behind ASKmeGOC has been awarded a $668,968 grant from the Health Care Unburdened Grant program established by the Canadian Medical Association, MD Financial Management Inc., and Scotiabank. This recognition highlights the ASKmeGOC team's ongoing commitment to advancing healthcare innovation by addressing the administrative burden facing physicians.

The ASKmeGOC program was tested in a randomized control trial, comparing its use to the usual standard of care for goals of care discussions. 1,906 patients were enrolled from Oct 5th 2023-Oct 31st 2024 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, and included patients 80 years old and above, admitted to hospital for 24 hours or more.
